Dear Sailors and Friends, LAST WEEKEND Thanks to all the members and friends who attended the talk last Friday (TGIF) with Dalton Gibbs on the recent Fires. Competing in the 470 class, the Cape Town duo powered to fourth overall at Kiel Week in Germany. Hailed as the largest sailing event in the world, Kiel Week, or Kieler Woche in German, takes place in Schleswig-Holstein each year and brings together around 5000 sailors and 2000 boats with participants competing across an array of classes, with a music festival and other celebrations taking place around the sailing.
