Morgan Evans, Marco Tobin and Constantin Hatzilambros! A few capsizes, but all three came off the water, smiling, and were welcomed back to shore with Old Brown Sherry and a meal from the galley! Dear Sailors and Friends, It is with deep sadness that we learnt of the passing of two of our prominent members this past weekend. Pam Campbell, a previous Commodore (our first lady Commodore) was a dedicated Sonnet sailor and a live wire Entertainment Officer during her time, with a flair for getting things done. Condolences to Donald, her husband, and her children Cameron Bruce and Joanne Reed and their families. Biddy Jackson, a Honoury Life member, was one of the original “Vlei’tes” and mother to Judy Alison & Carol King, passed away at the grand age of 92.
