Western Cape Inter-Schools Regatta at Zeekoe Vlei Yacht Club
Zeekoe Vlei Yacht Club is pleased to host the Western Cape Inter-Schools Regatta on 29 and 30 November, welcoming schools and young sailors from across the province for a weekend of competitive racing and community engagement. With a scenic venue, structured programme, and activities both on and off the water, the 2024 edition promises to be one of the standout events on the junior sailing calendar.
Programme of Events
Saturday – 29 November
The regatta opens with registration from 11h30 to 13h30, followed by the first race at 14h00. After racing, families and sailors can enjoy games on the lawn at 17h00 and unwind during happy hour and the gin bar from 17h00 to 19h00. The day concludes with live music from 19h00 to 22h00, creating a relaxed and social evening atmosphere.
Sunday – 30 November
Racing continues on Sunday with the first start at 10h00 and runs through to the last start at 14h00. The weekend ends with prize giving and a lucky draw at 16h00, where a variety of exciting prizes will be up for grabs. Stay tuned for announcements on the lucky draw prizes as the event approaches.
