Join us for Junior Friday Sailing at Zeekoevlei Yacht Club – an exciting, free event open to all young sailors! Whether you’re a seasoned sailor or just starting out, this fun and welcoming event invites you to come out on the water and enjoy a competitive yet friendly atmosphere. Every Friday, we host two scheduled races, with the first race kicking off at 4:00 PM. It’s the perfect opportunity to bring your friends, improve your skills, and enjoy the thrill of racing on the beautiful Zeekoevlei.
No prior experience is required, so if you’ve never raced before, don’t worry! Our instructors and experienced sailors are there to guide you, making it an enjoyable experience for everyone, regardless of skill level. You’ll have the chance to meet fellow young sailors, develop your technique, and most importantly, have fun in a safe and supportive environment. Whether you’re racing for the first time or competing regularly, Junior Friday Sailing is all about getting out on the water and enjoying the sport in a relaxed, social setting.
