Join us at the Zeekoevlei Yacht Club (ZVYC) for the highly anticipated Dabchick Western Cape Club Championships 2025, taking place from Friday, 21 March, to Sunday, 23 March. This prestigious regatta promises three days of exhilarating racing, great camaraderie, and a fantastic social atmosphere for sailors and supporters alike.

This event is open to all Dabchick sailors, and we encourage both seasoned competitors and up-and-coming young sailors to take part in this exciting competition.

Event Schedule

Friday, 21 March 2025

• ⏰ 09:00 – 11:00 | Registration
• 🚩 12:00 | Scheduled warning signal for the first race
• 🔥 17:30 | Braais will be lit for a relaxed evening after racing
• 🌭 Boerewors rolls provided for all competitors

Saturday, 22 March 2025

• ⛵ Full day of competitive racing
• 🍔 Post-race social: Enjoy burgers and beer for sale while swapping stories from the day’s events

Sunday, 23 March 2025

• ⛵ Final day of racing – no warning signal will be made after 14:00
• 🏆 Prize-Giving Ceremony | Held as soon as results are finalized

🍽 Food & Refreshments

• The galley will be open throughout the event – check out Rochelle’s menu for delicious meals and refreshments.
• Saturday Evening: Burgers and beer will be available for purchase.

🛏 Overnight Stay at ZVYC

• Sailors are welcome to sleep over at the club on Friday and Saturday evening.
• Bring your own sleeping bags and mattresses for a comfortable stay.
