Offer to Tender for Catering Services at Zeekoe Vlei Yacht Club

Zeekoe Vlei Yacht Club, incorporating Alfred Rowing Club, is a sports club based at Zeekoevlei in the southern suburbs of Cape Town.  It is a not for profit club, catering for some 350 enthusiasts in two sports as its name suggests, small boat sailing and rowing.  The club is a sometime venue for the local residents as a social venue and also is hired out for functions, such as weddings and birthday parties.

The club invites tenders from interested parties to provide a catering services.

The rowing portion of the club tends to arrive early to avoid wind and will arrive from 06h00 and leave about 09h00 on weekends, especially Saturdays, with school rowing happening in the summer terms in the afternoon.

The sailing section sails mainly on Sundays and arrive from 09h00 waiting for the wind to start blowing.  Sailors like to have a lunch at the club and are prepared to be enticed by good catering options to stay late.  Local residents also join for lunch.

Catering services would ideally be available from 08h00 on weekends and on weekday afternoons from 15h00 in the summer months.

It is the club’s intention to have the kitchen open for breakfasts and provide working hub where residents can have a family breakfast on weekends in a relaxed atmosphere.

The club has a large kitchen well equipped to accommodate its members’ requirements which would be available to successful candidate.
