Alfred Rowing Club Talk Evening and supper set for Friday 13th February
Liz Day, a Club member, is set to give us a fascinating talk on the Vlei – origins, history, water quality, algal blooms, the effects of a stray Zeekoe on the nerves of rowers, etc – on Friday, 13 February.
At a cost of R50 per person I reckon that is fantastic value! I hope we will be able to meet some of our sailing colleagues to boot – as it applies to them as much as us! Rochelle is providing dinner for another R50 per person, and the bar will be open from 5.30pm. A good night is guaranteed!

SUNSAIL CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS 14th/15th Feb (yes, St Valentine’s Day)
All the social activities are planned for Saturday after the racing; live music and the Sunsail Overseas charter draw.
First race on Saturday not before 14h00 and on Sunday 10h30.(No race to start after 14h00 Sun)
Volunteers are needed for rescue and bridge. Come guys, it is only 2 days per season, we do need help!!
Max 8 races 7 to count, discard after 6 races
Final results of Spring Series (sailed last year) is scored as a race
Fleets with more than 6 starters separate results
Club marks
Open Regatta to all sailors
Non members R50.00 entry fee and unfortunately cannot be in Sunsail draw or win our Championship trophies

Just a quick note to parents and children, please wash the Vlei water off your body before swimming in the pool. Thank you.
