Dear Members and Friends,

TGIF/End of year party
Last Friday over 50 members met to see out the year end (and wished our teams going to the Youth Nationals a great send off); The plates of snax provided by the girls were very popular and plentiful, even so that although they were so delicious, there was some left over.
Memories of the season and suggestions for the months going  forward were plentiful and discussed often, and generally it was felt we should be doing this more often in the season. Compliments and wishes of the festive season closed off a very successful evening.

Youth Worlds 9 to 16 December, Sanya China
Team South Africa In the Laser Radial Girls, Sonja Stock is coming in at 23rd out of 31 entries; Calvin Gibbs (IYC) is in 5th in the Laser Radial boys of 51 entries. In the 420 Girls, we have Michaela Robinson and Elsje Dijkstra in 17th position of 25 entries.

Youth Nationals 9 to 15 December, Henley Midmar YC
Provisional results after race 8 at HMYC; Hamilton Slater coming 5th in the Dabchick Class out of 27 entries and Max Hall in 11th position. In the Optimist A Fleet, we have Matt Ashwell in 2nd, Nicola Sadler 8th and Alex Falcon 9th out of 36 entries. Optimist B Fleet, Shaun Sadler is in 10th position with Theo Scheder-Bieschin in 12th out of 21 entries.
In the Laser Radial Fleet, Kai Leslie is in 2nd position, with Cullen Keytel in 4th followed by Sarah-Jane Deary in 5th position of 20 entries. Well done to our members!
