Welcome to 2018 and an exciting year ahead!
We kicked the year off with a well attended Open Day on Saturday and junior training welcomed new members yesterday and saw our coaches, kids and parents enjoying a wonderful day (fab weather) at the club and on the water! See our Facebook page for pictures.

Alfred Rowing Club News
Rowing South Africa (RowSA) initiated annual awards which aims to recognize and celebrate all facets of the Federations – clubs, athletes, coaches, volunteers and administrators. The awards committee received several nominations from all members of its Federation – school, juniors clubs, universities, senior clubs, provinces, constituent members.
Our own Brian Christie has two nominations – for Masters Rower of the year and (with Mike Scott and the rest of their crew for the World Masters) for Performance of the year. As well as Jacques du Plessis of Grassy Park Rowing Club, having been nominated for the Transformation Award. Congratulations to our members!

SA Sailing 2017 Awards – Final voting by 22 January 2018
Please find the final voting form containing all finalists. As per the earlier timetable the voting by SA Sailing members (note that votes by members who do not have a valid SA Sailing number will not be counted as valid) closes at midnight on Monday 22 January 2018 with the winners being announced at the SGM at VLC on the evening of 8 February 2018.
