Karen Slater, our Waterside Manager, held a Learn To Sail program at the club over a duration of 2 weeks and had 6 newbies all from Islamia Primary sailing in Home Bay on Optimists by day one!
Thank you to SA Sailing for affording us the opportunity participate in this LEARN TO SAIL within SCHOOLS PROJECT (a funding Grant by the Department of Sports).
Mother’s Day was a fabulous day (sun, water & fun) and thoroughly enjoyed by Mum’s, Dad’s and kids alike. Rochelle served up a delicious 3 course meal while Mum’s enjoyed their Warwick First Lady Dry Rose. Well done to Janet Taylor-Hall for winning the magnum of Warwick Cab/Sauv! See our Facebook page for images from the day.
ZVYC is proud to announce, after a long process of getting procedures & action plans in place for training and safety, SA Sailing has awarded us our Certificate of Accreditation with the status of RECOGNISED TRAINING CENTRE for Learn to Sail Dinghy programmes. Thank you to all those that gave so much of their time & energy to get the club ready for the inspection.
We look forward to proudly flying the SA Sailing Training flag while bringing many new sailors through our sailing programmes
