Alfred Rowing Club News
The Elgin Harvest Regatta was abandoned late morning due to strong winds and un-rowable conditions.  Medals were sparse:

  • Celina Gruber came in 3rd in the final of the Junior Women’s U19 1x but won in the JW16 1x
  • Tommy & I won the Masters 2x race
  • Liesl won her Women’s Masters 1x race in a field of one
  • Duncan came 2nd in the Men’s A 1x

At the Buffalo Regatta last weekend, a few of our members raced:

  • Celina Gruber won the JW16 1x
  • Dane Cherry & Andrew Beard won the Masters 2x
  • Dane came second in the Masters 1x

At Selborne Sprints Celina won the JW16 1x and seems unstoppable! And coming up soon is the Western Cape Champs – the V&A Waterfront Regatta being cancelled due to low entry numbers. Our coach, Regan did the club proud by officiating throughout Buffalo!
