ZVYC News 29 March 2018
Dear Members and Friends,
Sunday was the last day of Junior Training and went off with a blast!!
Novice / Intermediates & B fleet sailors (those not sailing inter-schools at IYC) all joined in for some fun and games (and snuck in loads of learning without them realizing!). A “no sails” day & sailing for those that wanted to which ended in a picnic raft!
IYC held the Inter-Schools of which SACS won with Bishops coming in at second!
Well done to our winning team (from Left):
Max Hall, Bryan Carstens, Matt Ashwell, Dave Mackinnon, Adam Knox, Hamilton Slater, Ross Mackinnon and Cullen Keytel!

The False Bay Nature Reserve’s Protected Area Advisory Committeerecently endorsed a decision by Nature Conservation not to conduct a draw down in 2018. This is due to the ongoing drought a low ground water levels being experienced. So no draw down for Zeekoevlei in 2018.
Kai Leslie is leaving Wednesday for back to back regattas in the under 18 Laser European Radial Championships being sailed at Lake Balaton in Hungary, and, the Eurilca Cup Laser Regatta at Ancona in Italy.
