Dear Sailors and Friends,

At least 50 Members and Vleibours rolled up to the club to watch the rugby last night, enjoyed burgers from Rochelle, and left the club much later, feeling better than they did after the Japanese game! “Go Bokke!”

ALFRED ROWING CLUB EVENT – V&A WATERFRONT – Saturday 10th October 2015
On Saturday, 10th October, starting at 10h45 there is an exciting sprint regatta happening at the V&A Waterfront.  It has been organised by the Alfred’s vice-commodore and club captain in association with Western Cape Rowing and Cape Town Boat Show organisers.  Crews from Alfred’s, Grassy Park, Cape Coastal, Maties (Stellenbosch), Somerset College and Grey’s will be racing on a 250m course from the Clocktower into the Albert Basin in Coxed 4’s, coxed quads and yolettes.  There will be a knock-out format, and will be fast and furious!  The program will be over by 14h00.

The tuckshop will be open from 09h00 and the Galley will be open for lunch on Sunday with delicious meals available from 13h00 prepared by Rochelle (meals from R20). Let’s support our caterer!
