ZVYC News 1 February 2018

Dear Members and Friends,

The Special General Meeting had a quorum with 31 voting members and all points on the agenda were agreed to. We will be invoicing the levy this month of 20% membership fees as well as applying for the club to become a Non Profit Organisation. Please read the attached letter from our Treasurer, Gavin Ashwell, and our Commodore, Craig Leslie along with your statement in due course.
Thank you to our members who took the time to come to the club and we also thank you for your valuable input. The minutes will be available early next week.

Club Updates: Anna & Ron Keytel and Karen Slater
It is with sadness and warmth that we bid farewell to Ron Keytel who has now retired from the club, and, with gratitude that we thank Ron for all his years and dedication, not only to sailing, but also to the running of daily activities and fun on the water! Ron devoted a lifetime to running the Sport as well as sailing at the highest level. One of ZVYC Legends!
Anna will now be working off club premises on the accounts but will still be at the club a couple days a week. Thank you Anna for all your years of commitment and ensuring the smooth running of the club admin and accounts!
We also welcome Karen Slater to the ZVYC team as our Waterside Manger and full time employee! Most of you will know Karen from her involvement with our Junior sailing on Sunday’s and her happy, welcoming and vibrant nature! We are looking forward to having you on board for many years to come.

Southern Charter Classic 3 at HYC: 3 & 4 February. Read more HERE… We wish our members safe travels and bring home the trophies 🙂

Harvest Rowing Regatta at Elgin: We wish our Alfred’s members safe travels and good luck at their away regatta in Elgin!

Junior Training & Club Hours: There is no training this weekend for our juniors and it will resume on Sunday 11th February at 09h30. The club office will be open both Saturday and Sunday from 09h00 to 13h00. Tuck shop and Galley are closed this weekend.

Members, please obey the Pool Rules as displayed on the board at the pool gate. As of today we are on Level 6B water restrictions and 50 liters of water per person per day (regardless of where you are). Read more HERE…
