LAST WEEKEND
Junior Training & Autumn Series Sailing – Sunday 10th April 2016
Junior training was active even with a lack of wind. We brought out our 
new training sails sponsored by the National Lottery Commission! Though there was no formal racing, we had a number of boats out on the water.
Rowing proved to be a wonderful morning for Alfred’s as the water was like glass! With the Rowing Champs coming up at the end of April, training in such conditions was ideal!
THIS WEEKEND
Saturday: The club house will be open from 08h30 to 15h00 on Saturday with John Salway on duty, then again from 18h00. The upper deck is hired for a function.
False Bay Nature Reserve Birdathon Walk – Saturday 16th April 2016
Members: why not join BirdLife South Africa, the Cape Bird Club and the City of Cape Town this Saturday and see the exhibitions, take part in the fun athletic events and more importantly, see the development on the Eastern shore… FALSE BAY NATURE RESERVE BIRDATHON
Sunday: Junior Training resumes from 09h30 and Autumn Sailing from 11h00. Tuck Shop and Galley will be open.

April 16th, Saturday: Birdathon Walk at False Bay Nature Reserve, 07h30 registration. Upper Deck hired for a Members function from 18h00
April 17th, Sunday: Junior Training at 09h30 & Autumn Series Sailing at 11h00. ARC to hold a meeting upstairs at 09h30
April 24th, Sunday: MDM Series 10h30 & Junior Training 09h30 and awarding of Junior certificates at 13h00
April 27th, Wednesday: Drawdown at the weir followed by a bring and braai at ZVYC.

April 30th, Saturday & May 1st Sunday: SA Rowing Championships at Roodeplaat

MDM Team Slalom Sponsored Event – Sunday 24th April 2016
Skipper briefing 10h00 and 1st start 10h30. Team Slalom with course in front of the clubhouse. Teams will consist of Lasers, Finns, Oppis, Sonnets, Sailing Center boats (Sonnets Tera’s 420’s) So expect a phone call soon asking you to compete, we really want you to sail but only commit to us if you can definitely sail
Fantastic prizes for winning team plus spot prize (Prize Giving @14:00)

Southern Charter Interschools Regatta, Imperial Yacht Club, 16 & 17 April 2016
We wish all our school members good luck in the IYC Interschools regatta this weekend!
Annual Zeekoevlei Weir Draw Down – Wednesday 27 April 2016, Freedom Day
