ZVYC News 7 April 2016

Dear Sailors and Friends,

LAST WEEKEND

Sunday was the perfect day for the rowers in the morning followed by Autumn sailing. We had 9 boats out on the water, including 3 girls sailing their Lasers, enjoying the mild afternoon breeze. Whilst on the subject of sailing, we are very pleased to announce that after last weekends rains, the water level has come up at least 100 mm and the bridge boat is once again floating. So no excuses at all!

Finn Nationals, Mykonos 30th March to 1st April 2016
Congratulations to Greg Davis 2nd place, and Philip Baum 3rd place, who sailed in the recent Finn Nationals at Club Mykonos after the Easter weekend. It was a superb event organised by Morgan Evans.

Boat Parking Security
We have had a couple of complaints recently about missing boats parts, dolly wheels and spars etc from our boat parking, we believe we cannot at this stage upgrade our security any further and  it is up to us members to report any suspicious activities we even believe some members are giving after hours access to non members as well. Further some of the boats affected have not even paid the boat parking fees thus giving the impression of abandoned boats. Members, please notify the office of any suspicious activity.
