ZVYC News 14 January 2016

Dear Sailors and Friends,

Obituaries
It is sadness we report of some recent passing on of some of our members:
Don Ainslie, after a long illness, passed away last week. The Ainslie family who are long time supporters of the Club, particularly through the days of junior training with their 3 sons who all became excellent sailors. Don was also part of the Des Seinni Veteran crew, rowing every Sunday morning early in spate of the weather year in and year out. Condolences and sympathy to the extended family.
Alistair Peden, a Finn sailor and often a Race officer at major Cape events, who passed away suddenly at his favorite Club, Saldanha Bay. A memorial service will be held at Hout Bay Yacht Club next Wednesday at 14h00.
