Dear Members and Friends,
Alfred’s Rowing Club have taken delivery of their new Quad from Rob van der Merwe of John Waugh Racing. This is to replace “Rock Girl” that sadly had been written off.
“I think that you will all agree that the finish which Rob has provided is superb in 
my opinion, extremely well made and at close to the minimum weight at 52,45 kg in quad rig.”

More news from Alfred’s is the “Bergriver Long Row” which is situated 27km from Doornfontein Farm and a down-river row happening this weekend! A young ladies quad and a masters mixed double will be partaking. Results will follow 😉
ZVYC has Team Tiletoria entered into the Lipton Cup this year to be held at Point Yacht Club in Durban from 6th to 13th July. They are Heidi & Nicola Burger, Nina Pienaar, Gail Wheeler, Tia Makohliso and Robyn Patrick with Taariq Jacobs as their coach.
On to the Juniors and we are proud to say congratulations to our Optimist sailors 
invited to the team going to the Qingdao International Training Camp and Regatta, China, in August (8th to 16th)!! They are: Oscar Duys, Dean Carstens, Hayden Philander and Joe Groenhof. Safe Travels.
On Sunday, a rowing clubs sub-committee will be formed for the upcoming season. All rowers from all the Zeekoevlei clubs are welcome to join. See the agenda HERE…
