WC Provincials – MBYBC
Well done to our members who sailed in the WC Provincials at Mossel Bay and thank you to Craig Leslie for being Race Officer on one of the courses.
In the senior classes we had:
29er – Taariq Jacobs, 2nd (7 entries)
Finn – Paul Wilcox 2nd, Paul Allardice 3rd (12 entries)
Laser Radial – Sonja Stock, 3rd (20 entries)
Optimist – Alex Falcon, 1st (27 entries)

Optimist Sailing Africa Selections
Congratulations to Matt, Alex and Tristin who are ZVYC members who have made the selections to represent South Africa for Worlds (Thailand July 11th to 21st) and Africans (Egypt 29th June to 6th July).

THIS WEEKEND

Alfreds Rowing Club Super Sprints – Saturday 22 April
This Saturday starting at 7:30, we are having the Alfred’s Super Sprints. It will be a 400m course so I hope that everyone will come, even if you haven’t been rowing much. (50 strokes! Everyone can handle that!) We will be having the following events:
Men’s 1x.         Women’s 1x
Mens 2x.         Women’s  2x.         Mixed 2x
Men’s 4x.        Women’s 4x.          Mixed 4x
Rochelle has made a special effort to open the Tuck Shop on Saturday from 09h00 to 12h00. Please be sure to order your bacon & egg rolls, coffee and/or chilled beers & ciders.

May 7th, Sunday: ARC AGM, Upper Deck 10h00
May 13th, Saturday: club house hired for a wedding starting at 15h00 using the East Lawn
May 18th, Thursday: ZVYC AGM from 19h30
