September 4th, Sunday: Opening Cruise from 09h00 (Bring a Friend)
September 9th, 10th, 11th: Oppie, Laser and 29er Youth Camp at ZVYC
September 16th, Friday: TGIF, 18h00 – Bring & Braai or Light Meals in the bar
September 17th & 18th: Southern Charter Classic Series Rnd 1 – Open Regatta

September 24th, Saturday: Clubhouse hired for private function
September 25th, Sunday: Junior Training First Lesson & Spring Series, Round 1


Winter Series Round 1
3 Finn’s braved the gusting NW and rain! Morgan Evans, Marco Tobin and Constantin Hatzilambros! A few capsizes, but all three came off the water, smiling, and were welcomed back to shore with Old Brown Sherry and a meal from the galley! Well Done guys! Let’s have more sailors join them this weekend! Light weather has been forecast.



Calling All Juniors! Registration is THIS Sunday 28th August 2016 from 09h00!
ZVYC has an exciting NEW junior training program! Meet the coaches for the season as well as the Commodore and Committee.

Junior Training will start on Sunday, 25th September 2016 at 09h00.

Two posters are attached, the one includes high performance training which is an extra night and an extra meal for the bigger boats and the Optimist A&B Fleets; the second poster is for only Saturday night for the novice and beginner sailors.


ZVYC Opening Cruise – Sunday 4th September 2016 @ 09h00
Calling ALL members! Make a note: Sunday 4th September 2016! Come down to the club for our Opening Cruise! BRING A FRIEND OR TWO! Bring the Family! We will have an action packed day starting with The Commodore’s Welcome and Guest Speaker Greg Bertish (thelittleoptimist).
After lunch, there will be a fun sailing race and guests can partake in the sailing on our club boats.

Southern Charter Classic Series 1
This event is on for the weekend of 17th & 18th September 2016, including Bart’s Bash on the Sunday. Registration will be similar to that of last year where you can enter online and will only include 3 events; the regatta’s are at ZVYC, TSC and HYC. Free camping will be allowed at our club.
Although late notice, we are working frantically on getting the NOR and Entry Forms out to members.
A poster is in the course of preparation.
As usual, we are looking desperately for helpers in safety boats and race officials. Please contact the office should you be able to assist us. Thank you in advance!
