On Sunday, SACS introduced new rowing recruits at their open day in the Barry Burton Barbour Room was in popular use A very lively morning with ergo competitions and Pimm’s Cocktails for both events!
Club President, Rick Nankin, stepped into the gap and did training with our Juniors, we are sure they enjoyed sailing to different houses around the Vlei with breaks in between for a refreshment, while we had bigger boats enjoying the late afternoon wind! Sonnets, a Laser, Finns and an Extra all sailed.
Sunday at the Cape Town Boat Show, we took our A & B fleet Optimist sailor’s to train at the V&A. The A fleet grabbed the opportunity of being out on the sea and launched from Granger Bay.The B fleeters sailed the brand new Optimists donated by Far East China from early morning having so much fun & learning lots in the process at the Waterfront!
