Our condolences to our Commodore, Mark Thompson, on the passing of his Mother, Benita. Benita was a wonderful lady who was cherished by everyone who knew her. May she rest in peace.

LAST WEEKEND
Junior Training
Last Sunday was pouring with rain and wind gusting, yet the Junior Training Theory resumed within the Clubhouse. Our coaches kept the juniors warm and interested.
Spring!
Rebirth…..Growing pains….Excited confusion……Unsure of direction….Calm, 
serene one moment… all hell let loose the next.
Spring sailing at Zeekoe Vlei in a nutshell!
The mountain chain perfectly reflected on a breathless mirror surface…..morphs into a raging monster howling from all directions ….. followed by a sweet and steady eight knot breeze.

Those of us who have taken advantage of racing the Spring Series have had a ball. Several Spring Series still to go. Betterer and Betterer……….as the hectic variety of Spring slides into the prevailing South Easters of Summer. Watch your calendar for details.

Calling all sailors – don’t miss out on additional chances in our wonderful 
SunSail/Moorings Draw – a week of sailing anywhere in the world on a Catamaran! (For each race you sail in the Spring Series, your name goes into the draw).
The tuckshop will be open from 09h00 and the Galley will be open for lunch on Sunday with delicious meals available from 12h00 prepared by Rochelle (meals from R20). Let’s support our caterer!

November 14th, Saturday: Club House hired for a private wedding 15h00 with East Lawn (members have access to the outside change rooms, boat parking, sailing and pool area)

Zeekoevlei Weir
From Monday 9th November the weir guard times will be from 5pm to 6pm. Please note that there may be circumstances which prevent the guards doing duty at the weir and residents should check that the Guard On Duty sign is on display at the entrance to the weir road. The SRA Committee
