Talk Overview
Not so long ago, many Cape Town bathrooms carried the reminder: “If it’s yellow, let it mellow…” Fast forward ten years, and while the city has enjoyed good winter rains, questions remain:
-
What is the status of Cape Town’s water supply?
-
How should we think about drought, climate change, and the future of our city’s water?
-
What plans are in place, and how should we respond as citizens?
These pressing questions will be explored by Mike, who was recently quoted in a Daily Maverick article by journalist Kristin Engel: Cape Town marks a decade since its Day Zero drought began.
