At 19:00 sharp, Capetonian town planner Tommy Brümmer will present “The Rocks of Cape Town” – a fascinating, accessible talk exploring the geology that underpins the city’s landscape and architecture.
A keen rower and former Zeekoevlei resident, Tommy’s lifelong interest in geology began at Wynberg Boys’ High and led to studies at Stellenbosch. Now living in the Bo-Kaap, his curiosity was reignited by the stonework of Cape Town’s historic buildings. His engaging presentation has been shared with professional bodies across the city – and now with the wider public.
