Dear Sailors and Friends,
LAST WEEKEND
Well done to our members who partook in the Argus Cycle tour! Despite the cycling, the club was alive on Sunday with early morning rowing and Junior training. The wind was perfect in the morning for the juniors, and picked up nicely later on for the Finn’s, X-Tra’s and Sonnets. A great day of sailing!

Koi Virus
There is much alarm about all the dead fish found in the Vlei. After speaking with Dalton Gibbs from False Bay Nature Reserve, he advises that this is a Koi Virus killing the Carp. It does not affect humans and only affects the fish. Sailing and Rowing is safe and the water is not contaminated.
ZVYC Optimist Sailor, Hamilton Slater (12), writes about his passion for sailing!
