A change in the Sailing Calendar

The ZVYC Open Day and Dinghy Boat Show has now been brought forward by 1 week toSunday 11th Jan (to accommodate the Port Owen River Race weekend). The Open Day hopefully will exceed last year’s very successful event and we are profiling all the Club activities to attract new members. All kinds of visitor activities are being arranged and we are hoping all our members will come down and help promote the Club, there is plenty for everyone to do, please volunteer. The theme for the day will be “Bring a Mate” and if we all do this it will be a very successful day and possibly for the Club.

Zeekoevlei Water Quality Report

The next report has been received and is displayed on the Manager’s Office window, this report continues to show that the quality of our water is good and is above the standard set for the Peninsula beaches.

Were we embarrassed!!!

Regretfully the whole of last Sunday, which was a fantastic day for racing and enjoying the Vlei facilities, we flew the Club Burgee upside down, apologies and well done to the “eagle eyed” members who spotted this!

Looking for a bed

The Sailing Room will double as a 1st Aid facility, we are therefore looking for a small single bed to put in there, for the comfort of persons not feeling well.
