ZVYC News 8 September 2015
Dear Sailors and Friends,
IMPORTANT BOAT PARKING NOTICE
The end of September is the deadline for all members to have registered their rowing and sailing craft and trailers for Boat Park Allocations. During the Grand Slam the club office will be making itself available to assist members in this regard and for those who have not yet done so, PLEASE come down to the club and complete your application form and identify your parking bay.
During the month of October, boats, trailers, dollies etc which do not reflect the new annual boat park sticker will be moved to temporary storage facility on the club premises where they will be photographed and the pictures will be posted on the notice board and Facebook site for 6 weeks. Thereafter the club will dispose of them to defray cost.
Please assist our office staff in our efforts to bring order to the boat park and club grounds which is a benefit to all members. ZVYC Boat Parking Storage and Conditions

ALFRED ROWING CLUB – MASTERS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
10 – 13 September at Hazewinkel, Belgium
Dear Martin and Lionel,
On behalf of the Alfred Rowing Club I would like to wish you guys all the best and good luck for the Masters World Championships. We are very proud to have you representing us in your double scull and know you will fly our club colors high during this event. Strength to your oars and speed to your boat.
Kind regards
Gavin Kirk – ARC Club Captain
Alex Falcon – North Vaal Provincial Championships
Victoria Lake, Germiston Johannesburg
Alex ended up third. The wind in all 9 regattas was very light (3-6 knots) and shifty so all the regattas were very technical and Alex seems to be very happy about the result.
Duncan Hawksworth was the winner, second was Keegan Nel both from the Northern Region.
From all the Members and Committee at ZVYC – WELL DONE Alex!!!
